Keeping up with what's new

A weekly roundup of everything CoverGuard has shipped for you — new features, sharper workflows, and the fixes that matter most — in one place, without leaving the app.

Who this is for: Everyone who uses CoverGuard. Where: the What's New feed on the Account tab in Settings (/account), and the What's new section of the Help Center (/help#release-notes). Time: ~2 min.

Why this matters

CoverGuard ships improvements continuously. The What's New feed is how you keep up: it rolls each week's changes into a single plain-language digest — the new features and improvements, plus the critical, high-priority fixes — so you notice a new tool the week it lands instead of stumbling on it months later. Routine, behind-the-scenes fixes are summarized as a count rather than listed, so the digest stays focused on what actually matters to you. No changelog to hunt down, no engineering jargon to decode.

How to open it

  • In the app: click your avatar (top-right) → Account — the What's New feed sits right on the Account tab, just below your profile and account messages.
  • From the Help Center: open /help and click See the latest on the "What's new" card (or jump to the What's new section at /help#release-notes) — no sign-in required.

Either way, read the latest releases newest-first.

What you'll see

  • An intro that leads with the outcome, plus a running count of how many weekly releases have shipped.
  • Curated highlights lead the feed: the most recent weeks are hand-written into plain-language notes (marked with a Highlights tag) so the top of the list reads as polished product news rather than raw change titles. Older weeks continue automatically below them.
  • Weekly release cards, three at a time. Each card covers one week and gathers:
  • a one-line summary of the week (e.g. "3 enhancements and 1 high-priority fix this week");
  • New & improved — that week's new features (New) and workflow improvements (Improved);
  • Critical & high-priority fixes — only the fixes that were urgent or high-impact that week;
  • a count of smaller fixes rolled up at the bottom, so nothing is hidden but the noise stays out of the way;
  • a small link on each item if you want the underlying detail.

Click any card for the full story. Every release card is clickable — open one and you'll get a detailed review of that week: a "closer look" walk-through of the headline features (what shipped, why it matters, and a Try it link straight to the feature where there is one), the complete list of new, improved, and high-priority items, and — for the automatically-gathered weeks — every smaller update expanded with its link, instead of just the count. Close it to return to the feed.

Use Prev and Next to page through the history — the footer shows which weekly releases you're viewing and the total. A week with nothing new or urgent to report is skipped. Opening the Account tab clears the "new updates" marker, so the badge you may see elsewhere in the app resets.

Tips

  • Skim the category chips first: New and Improved are where you'll find features worth trying today.
  • Check back after you've been away for a while — paging through a few screens is the fastest way to catch up on what changed.

Troubleshooting / Common questions

  • "The feed is empty or won't load." → It refreshes periodically; give it a moment and reopen the Account tab. If it stays empty, there simply may be no releases to show yet.
  • "I saw a new update notice but the count didn't change." → Viewing the What's New feed (opening the Account tab) marks everything as seen; that's expected.
