How-to: Getting help, or telling us what you think

Send a question, a bug report or an idea straight from the app, and know it was recorded — not just sent into a mailbox.

Who this is for: anyone using CoverGuard who is stuck, has found something broken, or wants something to work differently. Where: Contact support (/support), or the contact form in the Help Center. Time: ~1 min.

Steps

  1. Go to Contact support (/support). If you are not signed in, use the contact form

on the Help Center instead — it does the same thing.

  1. Pick what kind of message it is: I need help with something, **Something is

broken, I have feedback, or I wish it could do something**. This is only for routing; nothing is dismissed because of the box you ticked.

  1. Give it a short subject and say what is going on. If something is broken, the single

most useful thing you can add is what you were doing right before it happened.

  1. Send. You get a reference number on screen and a copy by email.

What it means

Your message is recorded, not just emailed. That distinction is the point of this form. Every submission is written down before anyone is notified, so a message cannot be lost because an email failed to go out.

That is also why the confirmation is worded carefully:

  • "Message received" — it is recorded and the support team has been notified.
  • "Message saved" — it is recorded, but our notification did not go out. Nothing you

need to do, and nothing is lost. The reply may be slower, and the reference number is how you chase it.

We would rather tell you the second thing than let you assume the first.

What we do with what you send. Your email address is used to reply to you. If you were signed in, we use the address on your account rather than one typed into the form, so a reply always reaches the account holder.

Tips

  • One thing per message. Two unrelated problems in one message get one answer.
  • Say what you expected. "The score should have been lower than the neighbouring

property" tells us far more than "the score is wrong".

  • Keep the reference. It is the fastest way for us to find your message again.
  • Feedback is worth sending. "I wish it could do something" is a real category here,

not a polite fiction — it is read by the people who decide what gets built.

Troubleshooting

  • "Too many messages" → there is an hourly cap on submissions from one account or

address. Wait a little and send again; nothing you already sent was lost.

  • "Support requests are not available yet" → a temporary platform state, not

something about your account. Email support directly in the meantime.

  • You never got the email copy → check spam first. If it is not there, your message is

still recorded — the copy is a courtesy, and its failure does not affect whether your message arrived.

  • You cannot sign in at all → use the contact form on the public

Help Center, or the one on the Contact page. Neither requires an account, and both record your message the same way this one does.
